Nicole Hamilton got mixed up with Porter Novelli Melbourne back in June 2008. She's an Account Director who leads our Disney brand work, and is on a mix of other consumer, corporate, not-for-profit and government sector clients.
What do you do at Porter Novelli?
Anything I can get my hands on. And even some things I shouldn’t.
Career highlight?
When I realised people not only seek my advice, but value and appreciate it.
Why public relations?
When I was young I wanted to be a judge, physiotherapist, international spy, professional netballer, architect and pilot.
PR seemed like the natural fit.
Best part about working at Porter Novelli?
Freedom. People. Pace. Network.
Most interesting campaign?
I try not to play favourites, but the Parliament of the World’s Religions in 2009 was certainly the most head spinning, challenging, eye opening and rewarding. Not really a campaign, more like a lifestyle for about six months.
I also have to mention the weeklong media junket with Raven Symone (voice of Iridessa, but I knew her as Olivia from The Cosby Show) for the DVD release of Disney's "Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue".
Manufacturing plant closures, English Language tests, business acquisitions, Hollywood interviews, nutritional messages, security breaches, blogger reviews, picket lines, carbon capture and storage and never ending fairy tales also continue to keep me intrigued.
When I was younger I wish I had.....
Yes.
